Welcome to [ vicissitude ],

I want to explain the meaning of the word vicissitude and why when doing a bit of dictionary hopping why I might have picked such a word. Here is the meaning from Dictionary.com:

vi-cis-si-tude (v-ss-td, -tyd) n.
-A change or variation.
-The quality of being changeable; mutability.
-One of the sudden or unexpected changes or shifts often encountered in one's life, activities, or surroundings

Since completing postsecondary education everything seems to be a change or variation. Moving home, for me, or for Doug, just plain staying at home. But starting this journey into the working world has been a tough one, and not just for us, for a lot of people.

Since at this point, we're NOT married, (or hell, even engaged!) and don't have 2.5 children and a grand mansion, I'm pretty sure who "we are" and what we are going to become is still changeable. (Although I hope it doesn't change too much).

It fits. Like an old shoe
