Well we finally made it up to Holly's cottage this past long weekend. I was skeptical about how much fun we'd have since I've grown pretty pessimistic about cottages in general. But it turned out to be a fun weekend.

Got up there late Friday night, and didn't get to sleep till about 1am, and was promptly woken up at 5:45am for the golfing trip. Apparently Holly's uncle is fond of a 6:30am tee time. Me not so much, but once we got out and the sun came up, it was alot of fun. I shot 103 too, which considering I hadn't played a round in over a year isn't too bad.

Sat on the beach in the afternoon when I got back from golf and managed to sunburn my face, and the top of my knees.

I enjoy swimming, but Holly doesn't understand why I dislike the beach. Sand, and sunburns just aren't things I'm a big fan of, not to mention the fact when I did summer swimming when I was a kid, it was jumping off the dock into deep water.

I enjoyed it when I was a kid and there was no work involved, but I think as I got older and it became chores, and maintenance, and work to do. It ceased being fun, and became a second job to have a cottage.

I'll have to post again with more of my thoughts as this has gotten pretty long.
