Operation Organization: Baby Clothes

I'm working on organizing our world lately after being inspired by a friend. Most of the stuff I'm using is already existing here or is low-cost. I started with organizing all of the bins of clothes that I have for Mr. J. It was time to take out all the 0-3 months clothes and switch him into the 3-6 month clothes, because the guy just continues to grow and grow!

What seems to work best for me in terms of storage is Rubbermaid 12L Totes. I have a zillion of them. Most of our seasonal items are already in totes, we also used totes when we moved so most of our books and other keepsakes and collectibles live in them too.

I set-up a system so that we have a bin in his room that when something does not fit, after it is laundered, it can just be put back into the bin. This has made it easier to get rid of those items fairly quickly and not be overwhelmed by items in his closet that don't fit! The other item it addressed was when an item is the wrong season but we want to keep it for future kids (or it's girl clothes), it can easily go into the bin too.

We also went for a great walk with Milton in tow with our 4-legged pals Raya & Thor. The wind sure was chilly so we had Mr. J bundled up in his snowsuit & furry hat. I had him for the first time in his stroller without bucket seat and he seemed to really like being able to see everything (well, until we fell asleep!) I was totally amazed in the -5C he could do that, must have been warm!
